World Environment Day is celebrated all around the world each year on June 5. The primary objective behind declaring World Environment Day was to spread awareness about mother nature.
Everyone can do their bit in saving our planet earth from giving into today’s commercialisation and global warming. We are aggregating a list of 5 things that you should do on this global environment day.
1. Recycle everything you can

Yes, recycling things can significantly reduce the human pressure on the nature. Use an e-ticket and soft-copies of documents wherever possible, this will significantly reduce the number of trees that are cut each year to make papers. Recycle your old gadgets, mobile phones and other daily use plastic products like packaged water bottles.
2. Spread awareness
This is the easiest thing you can pull off and do your part of being a responsible citizen of earth. Start from your house, talk to children’s and tell them about the nature and how they can preserve it for a healthy future. Do public campaigns in your societies, neighbourhood and explain to people how can they keep the environment clean and healthy for everyone.
3. Build a small garden or bring home an indoor plant
This is difficult, specially if you live in a city like New Delhi or New York where vacant land is already scarce. But do your bit and plant a tree in your house or even a just an indoor plant. Also promote this activity in your neighbourhood and you will very soon see the difference in the environment around you.
4. Use public transport
13 out of top 20 most polluted cities are in India. This is a hight time that people no matter where they are start using public transport systems. We need to take this seriously else the day is not far when we will have to pay for breathing clean and fresh air. Choice is ours to make.
5. Become an e-environmentalist
Yes you can become an e-environmentalist. Share unique ideas and news about the environment near you and get applause from people. Take a new initiative to improve your environment and publicise it on social media and motivate others to do the same. We can all do it together and make world a better place for us and for our future generations.
